How many loo’s will I need for my event / wedding?
When planning for large outdoor events, The Purple Guide is considered the industry bible for guest welfare, offering detailed guidance on how many toilets you’ll need based on attendee numbers. You can also use our Loo Calculator on our website for a quick estimate tailored to your event size.
For weddings and smaller private events, it can be a bit trickier—every celebration is unique, and guest needs can vary depending on factors like event duration, whether food and drink are served, and if the party continues into the next day.
To get an accurate number of loos for your event, just drop us a line at hello@honeywagonco.com and we’ll get a personalised quotation over to you right away.
When will are the loo’s delivered and collected?
If you have any special requirements, just let us know at the time of booking and we’ll do our very best to accommodate your preferred dates, days, or time slots.
Typically, we’ll be in touch one to two weeks prior to your event to confirm your delivery and collection day, along with an AM or PM time slot. While we can’t guarantee changes to confirmed slots, we’ll always try to find a solution that works for you.
Standard delivery days are Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday, with collection on Monday or Tuesday. Please note: Out-of-hours delivery or collection will incur an additional charge.
Portable toilet hire: You do not need to be present for delivery or collection. Simply mark the location where you’d like the toilet placed, and we’ll handle the rest. Important: The toilet must be placed within 10 metres of vehicle access to allow us to safely empty the unit prior to collection.
Trailer unit hire: We will do our very best to ensure that we position the trailer units (toilets or showers) where you want them, but as these are bigger there are a few points to consider before choosing your location:
- Access & Space: We need sufficient space to reverse a 4×4 vehicle with the trailer attached. If you’re unsure about the required space, please refer to the unit sizes on our website or contact us directly.
- Ground Conditions: The unit must be placed on firm, flat, and level ground. We can position trailers on grass, gravel, tarmac, concrete, or hard standing, but wet grass may not be suitable, as we aim to avoid damaging your lawn or field.
Please note: We cannot accept liability for accidental damage caused on-site during delivery or collection.
When do I pay for my order?
We ask for full payment prior to delivery on all units.
- To secure your booking we please ask for a 20% deposit – this secures your products and date. We operate on a ‘first come, first served’ basis and once our equipment is fully booked, its fully booked.
- The remaining balance is due 2 weeks prior to your delivery date.
- Once the full balance is paid or if it its less than 30 days away, we cannot offer a refund.
- Payments can be made by debit or credit card over the phone with our office – 01360 828 824 or online via BACS. We are unable to accept American Express payments.
