Our 18 Tonne Sustainable Gen Tug Trucks are built specifically for Film and TV production, offering a versatile, eco-conscious solution to power and transport needs on set.
Our Mercedes Actros 18 tonne trucks are equipped with a 30/60 Li-ion LFP Battery system and 100KVA Generator, combining HVO fuel with battery storage to reduce emissions and fuel use.
An integrated 20kW solar array feeds into the battery during daylight hours, charging up to the system’s green energy capacity. During regular operation, the battery supplies clean, quiet power to the production. When peak demand occurs, the 100KVA generator activates automatically—both supporting the load and recharging the battery simultaneously.
This hybrid setup has already achieved a 66% reduction in generator runtime, and with the added 20KW solar input, even greater fuel and CO₂ savings are expected.
We provide real-time monitoring of generator and battery performance, solar production, and overall energy consumption. Remote control capability allows system adjustments from anywhere, ensuring maximum efficiency. In addition to its power capabilities, the truck itself can also be deployed as a swing vehicle for moving base camp equipment and trailers.
